About AMSGMC
Bringing together around 100+ singers and dancers, the Amsterdam Gay Men’s Chorus is the largest queer community chorus in the Netherlands.
Founded in 2015, the chorus was established to create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where members of the queer community can share their passion for music, dance and performance. While our name reflects our proud heritage, today we welcome people from across the queer community whose vocal range is suited to our chorus.

Our repertoire is diverse, energetic and entertaining, ranging from pop and musical theatre to classical music and contemporary favourites, featuring artists such as Adele, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Queen, Elton John, Eurythmics and Mozart.
​
We are proud to be an international chorus, with English as the language of our rehearsals and members representing more than 30 nationalities who now call Amsterdam home. Throughout the year, we welcome new members and perform in a wide variety of venues and events in Amsterdam, across the Netherlands and internationally.

Whether we’re performing on stage, supporting community events or simply singing together, we believe in the power of music to connect people, celebrate diversity and inspire positive change.

Our mission
The Amsterdam Gay Men’s Chorus brings people together through music, dance and performance. We celebrate the diversity of the queer community while inspiring audiences, fostering inclusion and promoting greater understanding and acceptance.
