Various Voices 2023 - Bologna

Various Voices https://various-voices.it/ is organized every four years by Legato, the European association of gay choirs/choruses. This edition some 3000+ participants are expected from more than 100 choirs/choruses from over 19 European countries. During the festival, we are granted one 30-minute performance in the official program and possible other performances in side programs.

FAQ

1. Q: I don’t know yet if I will be able to attend, what is my final deadline?  A: Final deadline to register for the festival is 28 February 2023. You will have to arrange your own flight and accommodation if you register after 15 January 2023.

2. Q: I want to arrange my own travel, when do I need to be there?  A: The programme starts at 12:00 on Wednesday 14 June and ends at 14:00 on Sunday 18 June. As we currently do not know when and how often we will be rehearsing and performing, you have to be in Bologna by then.

3. Q: When and where will we perform?  A: Our performance date(s) and time(s) will be announced later in January.

4. Q: I want to bring a friend or partner, is this possible?  A: Yes, you can. Your plus one can also make use of the travel arrangements (subject to availability, AMSGMC members go first), please indicate this on the entrance form.

5. Q: Can my plus one visit the festival?  A: Yes! To be able to visit, your plus one needs to register as a non-singing delegate with the festival, paying the same amount in delegate fees as us.

6. Q: I want to share a room with a fellow AMSGMC buddy, how do I make sure we end up in the same room?  A: Reach out to your intended roommate and make sure you both fill in the same hotel preferences. We will provide you with an option to indicate who you want to share a room with in the accommodation booking process.

7. Q: Where do I find more information on the festival?  A: At their website.

8. Q: Why is the flight time so darn early?  A: There are limited flight options and even more limited options with reasonable prices. And we need to be there on Wednesday before noon.
