Assignments for Sept 16

Dear singers,

Next week you will be rehearsing with Sam Tarasenko. I trust him completely so if he changes anything that we rehearsed, please follow his lead!

PROUD

For next week please make sure you know all the notes of Proud! There is a very good chance we will sing this by heart at one or two gigs in 5 weeks!

Check with the guide track if you know the correct order of the song:

Verse 1 — prechorus (I step out of)— chorus —

verse 2 — prechorus (I step out of)— chorus —

Bridge (yeah) — chorus — repeat chorus

For next week please repeat the beginning until C, and please prepare sections C,D and E (until measure 74)

Use the guide tracks at least 5 times!

CT and T1: we changed a few things in section B (sorry AJ):

CT will slide up to high c (a sixth higher than written) and there you sing the whole melody (same notes as T2/T3) until bar 46! In 46 you sing the T1 melody in the higher octave until 48.

T1: at section B you slide up to e’ (a third higher than written) and every new bar the first two notes will be this higher e’. The rest of the melody stays the same.

In bar 46: T1 leave out ‘can set me free’. No singing in 47, and in 48 you sing the notes that are written in the CT line, ending on the high g.

RESPECT

Yesterday we noticed that the verses of Respect need much more preparation! My guess is that 60 % of the singers just didn’t do the homework.

A few of the singers have spent a lot of time investigating how we can make better guide tracks. Please make sure their efforts are not in vain by showing some ‘Respect’ in the next rehearsal!
